TransSECS is built to “wrap and embrace” your existing control system — not replace it. Whether your tool is PLC-based, embedded, or Windows-driven, we help you layer SECS/GEM on top of what already works.

Some minimal SECS/GEM mode awareness is required:

  • Your tool must be able to recognize REMOTE vs LOCAL mode (operator vs host control)
  • Your tool must handle ONLINE vs OFFLINE (host connectivity state)

These bits are standard in SECS/GEM and can typically be implemented as a flag in your PLC or user interface. We’ll work with you to determine the simplest way to support them.

TransSECS Servers

Expose your tool’s SECS/GEM interface as a standard server — your choice of OPC UA, MQTT, REST, or even OPC DA for older Windows-based systems. This lets your tool-side software or SCADA systems communicate using protocols they already support.

Programmatic TransSECS

For companies with in-house developers, TransSECS Programmatic provides a full-featured API to build SECS/GEM directly into your tool’s software stack. Best for teams who want tight, customized integration and have the resources to maintain it.

HSMS/SECSI Converter

ErgoTech’s protocol converter lets you connect tools with only Serial Ports (SECSI) to your fab host application using the full “High Speed Messaging Service” (HSMS – E37). From the fab host’s your SECSI tool appears on the network as a fully functional HSMS equipment.
